The number of highways in the KMMO listening area closed due to flooding has diminished a bit.

According to MoDOT, the closures are in Saline and Johnson Counties.

In Saline County, Route YY- about a half-mile north of Betty’s Truck Stop and I-70 was washed out, but a MODOT spokesperson says that stretch of roadway has been repaired and the highway has been reopened to traffic. However, Highway 127 north of Sweet Springs at Salt Pond Creek, Old 40 Highway west of Sweet Springs and south of I-70, Route UU about 2-1/2 miles east of U.S. Highway 65 and Route VV north of I-70 near Emma remain closed due to flooding.

In Johnson County, Highway 23 between Concordia and Knob Noster and Route E near Valley City at Blackwater River are closed.

In Pettis County, Route O between Routes HH and N and Route W south of Smithton that were closed have been reopened to traffic.
