Ever since the flooding that took place late last June, the No. 12 hole at the Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall has not been playable. However, that is soon to change.

Marshall Parks and Recreation Director Chad Unterreiner says he was hoping it would have been open for play by Memorial Day, but decided to wait and give it more time. He says the plan now is to open the hole for play later this month.

Unterreiner says there is some significance to selecting that weekend to open up the hole.

In other news, Unterreiner says the next “Street Food Throwdown” event will be on Tuesday, June 21. The food truck event is being held in the parking lot adjacent to the kiddie park.
