The Summer Food Program begins Monday, June 6, in Sedalia.

According to Sedalia School District 200, Heart of America ReDistribution Solutions and Support’s Summer Food Program will again provide meals at no cost for children age 18 and younger weekdays through August 12.

Lunch will be provided daily (except Monday, July 4). There are no income guidelines and no reservations required, and eligible disabled adults over the age of 18 are included. Meals must be eaten on site – There are no grab-and-go options.

The locations and times are:
The Heckart Community Center, Housel Park, Vermont Park and the Washington Elementary playground from11 to 11:30 a.m.;
Liberty Park: 11:30 a.m. to noon;
Lone Pine mobile home park: 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;
Sunset Village mobile home park: Noon to 12:30 p.m.;
Centennial Park: 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.;
Homestead mobile home park: 12:30 to 1 p.m.; and
Katy Park: 1 to 1:30 p.m.

Meals also will be provided for summer school programs, vacation Bible schools, churches, sports programs and children’s activities.
