
The Marshal City Council approved two ordinances during its meeting on Monday, June 6.
The council approved the second reading to execute an amendment to an agreement with Berlin & Co., LLC, pertaining to the management and operations of the Martin Community Center.
The agreement says the city will pay Berlin & Co. $7,291.67 per month for the work performed.
Also, the council approved the first and second readings of an agreement for professional services with HDR Engineering, INC., for engineering services related to the Marshall Municipal Airport.
This is for engineering, consulting and other services related to the airport not to exceed the cost of $15,000 for Task Order No. 3.
In addition, the council approved a bid for camera and equipment for the Marshall Municipal Band. The bid was $3,300 for the items from Vox Box in Marshall.
Councilman Tim Reeder pointed out more than the Marshall Municipal Band will be using the equipment.
In other news, the council reset a public hearing to hear comments regarding a request by Tobey and Donna Weaver representing Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to rezone a tract of land from A-1 Agricultural to C-2 Highway Business to the meeting on Tuesday, July 5.
