During his report at the Marshall City Council meeting on Monday, June 6, City Administrator JD Kehrman gave an update on the progress of getting abatement work started on an old, dilapidated building the city owns.

Old Fitzgibbon Hospital in the 800 block of South Brunswick Avenue has sat mostly vacant for the past three decades.

In other news, Kehrman said the city has received inquiries about several other properties it owns.

The next council meeting is scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. Monday, June 20.
