
Georgia Hunter, age 83, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born December 9, 1938, in Blackwater, MO, she was the daughter of the late William Martin Hazell and Mary Etta Duncan Hazell. On December 16, 1955, she married Clyde “Sonny” Hunter who preceded her in death on May 11, 2009. She lived in Saline County most of her life and in earlier years was a 4-H leader. She was of the Lutheran faith. She worked at Stampers and retired from Mazzio’s after more than 20 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Herberger (Adrian) of Joplin, MO and Tina Bott Hunter of Marshall; four grandchildren, Holly Morales (Todd), Crystal Fisher (Quincy), Bryant Hunter (Brianna) and Courtney Fox Dickerson (Eric); 12 great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Banks (Simon), India Workcuff, Amaris Butler, Caroline Morales, Alexis Hunter, Braxton Hunter, Brock Hunter, Bryce Sanders, Sunni Jo Dickerson, Kaylee DeVault, Alex Dickerson and Natalee Dickerson; one brother, Jim Hazell (Ruby) of Marshall; one sister, Clara Jane Green (Frank) of Boonville, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Sonny of 52 years, Georgia was preceded in death brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray Hazell (Judy), Betty Korte (Ben), Earl Hazell, Bernie Hazell, J.W. Hazell, Henry Hunter and James Hunter (Viola); and three great-grandbabies, Brayden Sanders, Rylee Dickerson and Ben Dickerson.
