A Warrensburg resident has been charged with a sex-related felony.

According to a probable-cause statement, Warrensburg Police officers reported to Western Missouri Medical Center regarding a report of rape. A woman alleged Shawnacy Miguel Johnson Jr. sexually assaulted her while she was intoxicated on April 20, 2022.

Court documents say Johnson is charged with a felony for rape or attempted rape in the first degree. He pleaded not guilty on May 31.

A bond-reduction hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
