
TRIAD Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps has announced that Cadet Colonel Madeline Souder was selected to Command the Corps for the 2022-23 school year.
A news release says her efforts in preparing for the Triennial HQ AFJROTC Inspection led to her selection as a “Top Performer”. She is one of three out of 110 cadets selected for this honor.
Cadet Souder commanded the Cadet Honor Guard where she led over 35 events, committing over 75 hours at community sporting events, NASCAR, Bass Pro Shops Anniversary and recently for the First Lady of the United States Dr. Jill Biden.
Cadet Souder is the recipient of the Daedalian Award, Military Order of the World Wars, Sons of the American Revolution and the Tuskegee Airman AFJROTC Cadet Award. She is a Senior at Warrensburg High School and is the daughter of MSgt (ret) Ethen and Laura Souder of Warrensburg.
The AFJROTC Program is dedicated to “Develop Citizens of Character Dedicated to Serving Their Nation and Community”.
Established in 2005, TRIAD AFJROTC is composed of 110 students from Knob Noster, Warrensburg, La Monte and Crest Ridge Schools. This year, cadets performed 46 Community Service events accumulating 2,380 hours and raising $4,877 for charities. They also participated in 93 after-school activities such as Drill, Raiders, Marksmanship, CyberPatriot, Rocketry, Aviation and eSports accumulating over 7,000 hours.
