
The Concordia Board of Aldermen discussed participation in the Tax Holiday during its most recent meeting. The topic was first discussed during a board meeting on Monday, June 6.
City Administrator Dale Klussman says the board passed an ordinance to opt-out of the Tax Holiday.
Bigger chains can still participate in the sales tax holiday.
In other news, the board decided to move the start time of its meetings to 5:30 p.m. to allow Concordia Mayor Michael Brown additional time to get to the meetings. The change takes effect during the board’s meeting on July 18.
