
A Sedalia man accused of murder in the death of 24-year-old Micah Munro on August 23, 2021, is due in court.
A news release says Sedalia Police officers responded to South Quincy to a report of a male- Munro- not breathing. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but Munro was pronounced deceased at the scene. Toxicology reports revealed fentanyl was the cause of death.
Authorities allege Nathan Riga was Munro’s supplier just hours before his death.
According to court documents, Riga is charged with felonies for second-degree murder, delivery of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution. He still is being held without bond.
Riga, who was indicted by a grand jury on March 8, pleaded not guilty on April 4. His attorney filed a motion for a change of venue on April 12. His next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
