Charged with multiple felonies after authorities responded to the report of shots fired on May 17, a Sedalia woman is due in court.

According to a Sedalia Police report, officers responded to the 2500 block of East 9th Street, and a 57-year-old man told authorities he had been shot at multiple times by another person he knew.

Officers say when they arrived, the suspect was no longer shooting and had barricaded herself inside the residence. Officers were able to de-escalate the situation, and Victoria Mae McWilliams was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Although not injured, authorities say the victim did have a bullet hole in his shirt.

Court documents say McWilliams is charged with felonies for discharging a firearm at a person, domestic assault in the first degree and armed criminal action. Bond remains at $250,000 cash or surety.

McWilliams waived her preliminary hearing, and her case was bound over to the trial division on June 27. She is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
