In certain instances, the city of Marshall may require input and guidance from an outside law firm.

So, during the council meeting on Tuesday, July 5, the council was asked to approve an agreement between the city and Cunningham, Vogel & Rost, P.C. for the provision of legal services.

City Attorney Josh Taylor explained the purpose of the ordinance.

Taylor explained this firm’s expertise is in Municipal Law.

The council approved the first reading of the ordinance. A second reading will need to be approved during a future council meeting before the agreement will go into effect.
