
The Marshall-Saline Development Corporation hosted Kent Glasscock, President of Kansas State University Innovation Partners and CEO of Homestores, Inc. during its meeting on Tuesday, July 12.
A five member team of members from the Marshall and Saline County community traveled to Manhattan, Kansas in June to meet with Glasscock and discuss economic development in Manhattan. Glasscock was invited to speak at MSDC’s meeting to discuss ways to expand economic development opportunities in Marshall and Saline County.
Glasscock explains that audacious leadership and goal setting is vital for economic development.
Glasscock also said that housing, education, and health care are the most essential components for communities to flourish.
In other news from the meeting, Executive Director Cydney Mayfield introduced the board to MSDC’s new administrative assistant Tina Clause. Clause joined MSDC on July 6.
