A Warrensburg man is facing sex-related felony charges for allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile female earlier this month.

According to a probable-cause statement, on July 4, Warrensburg Police officers responded to a report of sexual abuse. The reporting party told officers that a confidential victim had informed her that she was molested by Brandon Whitlock on July 2 and 3.

A forensic interview was conducted with the confidential victim on July 6, and the girl explained the incidents in explicit details.

According to court documents, Whitlock is charged with felonies for statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy and child molestation with a child less than 14 years old. Bond is fixed at $75,000 cash only.

Whitlock was arraigned and pleaded not guilty on July 8. His counsel-status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
