
The City of Fayette received a check in the amount of $10,087.24 from the Missouri Public Utilities Commission, presented to the City of Fayette by the Missouri Rural Water Association (MRWA).
Fayette is a system member of MRWA, the Administrator of the Missouri Public Utilities Commission Interim Loan Program. The Missouri Public Utilities Commission provided the funding that the City of Fayette used for a wastewater improvements project. The check received by the City of Fayette from the Missouri Public Utilities Commission is a rebate of interest costs during the construction of the improvements.
Mayor Jeremy Dawson says, “This is a culmination of years of hard work with federal and state agencies to keep our wastewater system in compliance and to continue to provide environmentally-safe and reliable service to our residents.”
Mayor Dawson thanked the staff and elected officials, current and past, that brought this project to completion, and gave special recognition to the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Rural Development for making this project affordable to the residents of Fayette.
Additionally, Mayor Dawson thanked the public finance firm D.A. Davidson & Co. for their work on the structuring and managing of the loan.
