Mark Harless, salesman at Armor Equipment, was at the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, July 18, talking about the advantages the city could see by going with specialized trucks and tippers to handle 96-gallon trash cans.

Harless first talked about the significance of the carts- or 96-gallon trash cans.

Harless said there are several advantages with this system.

Councilman Drew Green discussed more with Harless.

Harless pointed out that if some residents do not require a 96-gallon trash can, they do have 64-gallon and even 48-gallon trash cans.

This is only in the discussion stage right now. The city has not made any changes to the current system. Harless said he will leave one of the 96-gallon trash cans at the City Office Building for the next couple of weeks, and residents can go by and check it out and see how easy it is to move.
