A lot of information about the Marshall Junction area was conveyed during this quarter’s meeting of the Develop Saline County Advisory Board.

Marshall-Saline Development Corporation (MSDC) Executive Director Cydney Mayfield explained they are working on getting an Enhanced Enterprise Zone in place to help attract businesses to the junction.

Also, Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden explained the commission is seeking funding to help pay for the sewer system which will be installed in the future.

Gooden says they will find out in December if they have been approved.

In other news, the board was asked by Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner if it wants to push back its next meeting by one week.

The board voted to hold its next meeting on Wednesday, October 19.
