
Randy Bell, age 63, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Thursday, July 21, 2022, at his home.
The family will hold a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs, with a Celebration of Life following at the American Legion Hall in Sweet Springs.

Born July 15, 1959, in Sedalia, MO, he was the son of Clifford L. “Sonny” Bell who survives of St. Joseph, MO and the late Glenda Russell Bell. Randy lived in the Sweet Springs area his entire life and was a 1977 graduate of Sweet Springs High School. On April 7, 1979, he married Carla Jo Vickrey who preceded him in death on November 16, 2019. Randy graduated from State Fair Community College and worked as a fabricator at Duke Manufacturing. He attended Eldorado United Methodist Church in Green Ridge. Randy’s nieces and nephews, whom he loved so much, and they loved him so much, would be the first to tell you that he was the best baker around and was well known for his cinnamon rolls and cookies. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his father, Randy is survived by two sons, Steven Bell and Travis Bell, both of Sweet Springs; three wonderful sisters, Janice Moore of Sweet Springs, Susan McKeage (Kevin) of Sweet Springs, and Shirley Adams (Dave) of Odessa; one stepsister, Theresa Steele of St. Joseph; an aunt, Norma Gieseke of Sweet Springs; his in-laws, Wilma Vickrey McFail (John Jr.) of Houstonia; all of Carla’s siblings and families; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, wife and a sister in infancy, Esther Marie Bell.
