A Green Ridge man charged with multiple felonies following the execution of several search warrants more than two years ago changed his plea to some of the felony charges during a recent court proceeding.

A Sedalia Police report says officers conducted a traffic stop of a suspect related to an ongoing drug investigation, and Samuel David Woolery II was arrested on April 16, 2020. Authorities from multiple law-enforcement agencies served five search warrants at residences in Sedalia and Green Ridge, two storage units in Sedalia and the suspect’s vehicle nearly simultaneously and say they located numerous drug-related items and a weapon.

Woolery is charged with felonies for manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school or college and delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon; and three counts of a felony for possession of a controlled substance. Woolery posted $125,000 surety bond on April 21, 2020.

During a pre-trial conference Woolery, who pleaded not guilty on July 20, 2020, changed his plea to guilty to the delivery of and three counts of possession of a controlled substance as part of a plea deal. The court dismissed the other charges.

Woolery’s two-day jury trial scheduled to begin Thursday, August 4, was canceled. His sentencing hearing is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 23, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
