randy-mcclammer-7-27-22

Howard Randall “Randy” McClammer, age 67, of Columbia, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

He was born on November 3, 1954 at Lee Hospital in Fayette a son of John and O’Dell Moyer McClammer. Randy graduated from Fayette High School in 1972. He served his nation in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in San Diego, California, Quantico, Virginia and Okinawa, Japan. After returning from the service he was employed with the University of Missouri Hospital, Sapp Construction and Columbia Foods.

Randy was small in stature, wasn’t big enough to play football, but tough enough to join the Marines. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone at anytime. He loved his dogs and his aquarium full of fish. All of his dogs were named Ginger because he said it was easy to remember their name and didn’t have to waste time thinking of a new name! The exception was his last dog named Laramie.

Randy is survived by his mother, O’Dell McClammer of Fayette; a sister, Wynonna McClammer of Jefferson City and special friends Ron and Karen Campbell of Columbia.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carie McClammer; his father, John McClammer and his former wife, Latrelle.

Services honoring Randy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 6, at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette, with Nate Kohl officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Armstrong.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Walnut Hill Cemetery or to the American Cancer Society.
