A bridge deck replacement project on U.S. Highway 24 in Chariton County, west of Route MM near Brunswick, is scheduled to begin soon.

A press release says crews from Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT), are scheduled to begin shoulder work at the Palmer Creek Bridge on Monday, August 1.

Beginning Monday, August 8, crews are scheduled to narrow U.S. Highway 24 to one lane at the bridge.

Temporary traffic signals will be in place to guide motorists through the work zone.

This single-lane work zone is expected to remain in place through November 25, when the project is expected to be complete.

All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
