The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is advising Katy Trail users of work scheduled to take place on Monday, August 1, that will require the trail to be closed to the public.

MoDOT says the contractor overseeing construction of the Lance Corporal Leon Deraps I-70 Missouri River (Rocheport) Bridge is scheduled to pour the final drilled shafts on the east side of the river near the Katy Trail. Due to the work being completed, the Katy Trail will be closed for operation from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 1.

This work will not require any lane closures on I-70.

Signs indicating the closure will be posted at Katy Trail entrances and on the MoDOT Traveler Information Map and MoDOT Central District social media pages.
