The Marshall City Council discussed an ordinance to approve and adopt the electric rate schedule approved by the City of Marshall’s Board of Public Works.

Marshall Municipal Utilities General Manager Jeff Bergstrom attended the meeting and explained the language change in the schedule to the council.

Bergstrom said the change will have a small effect on some customers, depending on what the summer peaks are.

Bergstrom said the board plans for the new schedule to go into effect on October 1. The council approved the ordinance.
