
Robert Wayne Haesemeier, age 70, of rural Sweet Springs, died Monday, August 1, 2022, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022, at St. John United Church of Christ in Emma, with Rev. Tim Biesemeyer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Born February 12, 1952, in Warrensburg, MO, he was the son of the late Edward Haesemeier and Lorna Anna Gehrken Haesemeier. Robert lived in the rural Sweet Springs area his entire life and was a 1970 graduate of Sweet Springs High School. On June 1, 1980, he married Ruth A. Meyer who survives of the home. Robert served six years in the Missouri Army National Guard from 1970 to 1976. He was a lifelong farmer and a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, Ruth; he is survived by one daughter, Sarah Burton (Chris) of rural Centerview; one brother, Larry Haesemeier (Colleen) of rural Sweet Springs; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Hunter Burton; and one brother, James Edward Haesemeier.
