Saline County voters voted on several county commission races during the 2022 August Primary Election on Tuesday, August 2. The polls were open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. in precincts throughout Saline County.
According to unofficial election results, 26.21 percent of registered voters participated in the August Primary Election.
Numbers from the county clerk’s office say Beck Plattner narrowly beat out Kile Guthrey Jr. for Presiding Commissioner of the County Commission. Plattner received 570 votes and Guthrey received 527.
Plattner says she is looking forward for the task that lies ahead.
Plattner won’t take office until 2023, but says she has plans for several projects.
In the Clerk of the County Commission race, Brittni Burton received 1,150 votes, edging out Carrie Jarvis, who had 1,065. Jessica Baker received 1,679 votes for the Recorder of Deeds position. Baker beat out Amie Ragan-Brown, who received 566.
