
The Higginsville Board of Aldermen passed several ordinances on Monday, August 15.
According to city administrator Jeanette Dobson, Higginsville had water and sewer rate increases and the board found it necessary to increase the utilities service deposit.
There was a public meeting on about the tax levy. Dobson stated that the levy remained the same for this year.
In other news, there were thirteen ordinances updating the building code. This is done every couple of years to stay in compliance. All ordinances were approved by the board.
