A Johnson County man charged with felonies for allegedly possessing child pornography is due in court.

According to a probable-cause statement, in March 2022, Missouri State Highway Patrol investigators received a CyberTip from Stelivo LLC, which reported a file of suspected child pornography had been uploaded to an online free chat service. Stelivo indicated on November 22, 2021, a file was uploaded to its platform using an IP address that authorities traced to Nicholas Cordiero, who recently moved to Warrensburg. During a search of cell phone and electronic devices, authorities say they located several files depicting child pornography.

According to court documents, Cordiero is charged with a felony for promoting child pornography and four counts of a felony for possession of child pornography- second or subsequent offense or possession of 20 or more pictures or one film or videotape. Bond is fixed at $25,000 cash only.

Cordiero was arraigned on Wednesday, July 27. His case review hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, August 22 at Johnson County Circuit Court.
