A 65-year-old man and two juveniles were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Johnson County on Monday, August 22.

According to a release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Albert D. Fike of Holden, approached a tractor driven by a 15-year-old juvenile at a high rate of speed, striking the tractor from behind.

The 15- year-old juvenile was moderately injured and a 13-year-old rider suffered serious injuries. Fike also suffered serious injuries in the crash.

The juveniles were transported to Chidren’s Mercy Hospital and Fike was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

The crash occurred at 9:45 p.m. on Highway Z in Johnson County.
