A route in Carroll County is closing due to rail maintenance.
According to a release, the railroad contractor has notified the Missouri Department of Transportation that rail maintenance did not close Route 41 in Carroll County, between County Road 270 and County Road 280 on August 22, as originally planned.
Instead, Route 41 will close at the rail crossing for 48 hours beginning Tuesday, August 23, and continue through Wednesday, August 24. It is possible the closure could extend into Thursday, August 25. The railroad contractor has posted message boards near the crossing to alert drivers.
Motorists should plan an alternate route to use during the closure.
All work is weather permitting.
