A 77-year-old man and 74-year-old woman were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Johnson County.

According to a release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Emily Adams failed to yield while attempting to make a left-hand turn and was struck by a vehicle driven by 77-year-old James Kissick. Kissick’s vehicle struck Adams’ and overturned. Adams was not injured in the accident.

Kissick and Linda Kissick suffered serious injuries and were life flighted to Truman Medical Center.

The crash occurred at 5:20 p.m. on Highway 13 in Johnson County.
