Saline County is one of three locations in Missouri receiving from the Department of Natural Resources to evaluate drinking water systems.

According to a news release from DNR the grant offers funding to help qualified communities help cover the costs for the evaluation. Saline county will receive $30,000 to identify water system improvements to continue providing reliable service to Saline County customers and meet drinking water quality standards.
