A 19-year-old Liberty man was injured in a motorcycle accident in Lafayette County on Sunday August, 28.

According to a release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a motorcycle driven by Billy Copenhaver went off the road and came to rest on an embankment.

Copenhaver suffered serious injuries and was transported by the Lexington Fire Department to Centerpoint Hospital.

The accident occurred at 4:53 p.m. on Highway 24 in Lafayette County.
