Three juveniles were injured in a crash involving a horse and buggy in Johnson County.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Glenn Gilbert struck the rear of the horse and buggy, driven by 38-year Truman Gingerich. Gingerich’s vehicle had four passengers, 33-year-old Ada Gingerich and three juveniles.

The three juveniles were transported by life flight to area medical centers for treatment of serious injuries. Ada Gingerich also suffered moderate injuries.

The crash happened at 1:46 p.m. on August 27.
