
A Norborne man has been charged with a sex-related felony following an incident on August 11.
According to a probable cause statement, Christopher P. Wright engaged in sexual acts with a juvenile. Investigators conducted a forensic interview on the juvenile.
According to the biological mother of the juvenile, on August 11, Wright took the juvenile into a room, locked the door and proceeded with the sexual act. The mother took the juvenile to Children’s Mercy Hospital for examination. During the examination the juvenile was swabbed and clothing and swabs were sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Lab. A search warrant was received for a DNA swab of Wright.
Wright’s DNA, found in the clothing of the juvenile was found to be a source of the DNA. According to the mother of the victim, Wright is the only person who had access to deposit the DNA on the body and clothing of the victim.
According to a witness, Wright was at the residence on the day of the incident.
According to court documents, Wright was charged with a felony for statutory sodomy involving a person less than 12 years of age. Wright has not been apprehended yet.
