A Pulitzer Prize winning author will be giving a presentation at the University of Central Missouri (UCM).

According to a news release from the UCM, Pulitzer Prize winning and Harvard University professor Annette-Gordon Reed will be the guest speaker.

The presentation will contribute to the understanding on topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Gordon Reed wrote the book “Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings: An American Controversy” in 1997 and “The Hemingses of Monticello: An American Family” in 2008, for which she won the Pulitzer Prize for History.

In 2012, Gordon Reed was appointed the Charles Warren Professor of American Legal History at Harvard Law School.

The presentation will take place at Hendricks Hall on the UCM campus at 7.p.m on September 22.
