An Alma man was charged with three felonies for possession of child pornography on September 9 in Johnson County.

According to a probable cause statement, 20-year-old Caedon Bergman of Alma, knowingly possessed and forwarded sexually explicit material of a persons less than eighteen years old. A Missouri State Highway Patrol Officer began an investigation on August 9, after receiving a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

On September 7, Bergman was contacted by investigators and while talking to investigators, admitted to downloading, viewing and sharing child pornography. Bergman was shown several still images taken from videos provided by the NCMEC which were child pornographic videos sent by his Snapchat accounts. Bergman stated that he remembered sending them to other people via the Internet.

Bergman stated that he had files saved on a second “burner” phone. He consented to a search of his home and cell phones. During a search of his burner cell phone, numerous videos were located which showed underage minors involved in sex acts.

Bergman was arrested and charged with three felonies for possession of child pornography. Bond is set at $75,000 cash only.

No hearing date has been set.
