A former Missouri Valley men’s wrestler has been inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame.

Bobby Lashley, a 1999 graduate of Missouri Valley was a four-time All-American and three-time individual National Champion for the MVC men’s wrestling program. He also helped the program to back-to-back National titles in 1996 and 1997 and a National runner-up finish in 1998.

Current Athletic Director and former wrestling coach Mike Machholz had a few things to say about Lashley.

Following graduation, Lashley served in the United States Army, reaching the rank of sergeant.

In 2005 Lashley began wrestling professionally with World Wide Entertainment (WWE). He also competed in other various professional wrestling organizations. He is a two-time WWE Champion.

Lashley will be formally inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame at the 2023 NAIA Men’s Wrestling National Championships in March.
