In a recent meeting of the Santa Fe Board of Education, Superintendent Derek Lark gave a report on facility updates and an architectural firm summarized long-term plans.

Lark gave a report stating that the lighting project on the softball fields, which were repurposed lights from the football field was complete. He also stated that the district will now have the ability to host evening games as needed, as well as the potential for postseason competitions.

Lark also stated that he is working on a lease for new buses as the current fleet has been extended an extra two years to max out the warranties.

Architectural Firm Hollis and Miller, hired by the board to help develop and implement long-range facility plans, was on hand to summarize the work that had been completed thus far by the “Facilities Vision Team,” consisting of board member Clay Michael, administration staff and the Hollis and Miller staff.
