A Bates City woman and three juveniles were moderately injured in a one-vehicle crash on Sunday, September 25.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 28-year-old Heather Speakman and three juveniles were injured when the vehicle they were riding in attempted to make a right turn and overturned.

Speakman was transported by the Central Jackson County EMS to Centerpoint Hospital, while the juveniles were transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital, all with moderate injuries.

The crash occurred at 3:45 p.m. on Route Z in Lafayette County.
