Born August 7, 1947, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Paul Erbie Eidson and Burlie Fay Webster Eidson. Freddie lived in Marshall his entire life and was a 1965 graduate of Marshall High School. On November 11, 1967, he married Joyce Adams who survives of the home. Freddie was co-owner of Eidson & Ussery Truck Line, Inc. in Marshall for many years. When his health permitted it, Freddie always enjoyed mowing and working in his yard. Once his health didn’t permit it, he enjoyed sitting watching the trucks go by or sitting outside in the sun with a glass of wine. Freddie had a great love for his family and it was deepened even more when his grandchildren came along.
In addition to his wife of nearly 55 years, Joyce, he is survived by two children, Leslie Huston (Nick) of Marshall and J.W. Eidson (Jacque) of Blue Springs; six grandchildren: Samantha, Cole, Allie, Caroline, Jane, and Wade; five siblings: Pauline Pitchford of Elsah, IL, Charlie Eidson of Marshall, Judy Deal of rural Nelson, Sharon “Blossom” Maupin of Shackelford, Bill Eidson of Marshall; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Lee Eidson.
