The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works considered approving a contract with Poor Boy tree Service Inc. for tree trimming and bush spraying needs during its meeting on Thursday, September 29.

The board also had to accept the amended rates for right-of-way maintenance with Poor Boy Tree Service. Electric Distribution Director Doug Root said there was a 17 percent price increase for the services.

The board approved the amended rates and the contract for fiscal year 2022/2023.

In other news from the meeting, the board authorized Board President Ken Bryant to sign a letter of understanding for the September 30 audit with Gerding, Korte, and Chitwood.
