
The Marshall City Council approved the 2022-23 budget on Thursday, September 29.
The budgeted revenues presented amount to $12,668,861, with expenditures proposed to be $12,564,247. Highlights of the budget include Real Estate and Personal Property Tax revenues to increase slightly. Sales Tax Revenues are expected to remain the same. A three percent increase in pay for city workers, utilizing ARPA funds to continue work on the College/Miami sidewalk, increasing technology to allow video conferencing at the Marshall Municipal Court and increased funding for the Marshall Community Chorus are included in the budget.
Capital Projects include completing the Eastwood Street Project, purchasing new Air Pacs at the Fire Department and purchasing digital cameras for the Marshall Police Department.
