
The village of Arrow Rock is set to host the 54th annual Arrow Rock Heritage Festival.
More than 60 artisans, artists, musicians, entertainers, and purveyors of remarkable goods will gather from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 8, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday October 9, in the streets and parks all around town. Soaps and candles, fibre arts and hand-made jewelry, leather and iron works share the streets of the National Historic Landmark village of Arrow Rock for two days of fun, festivity-and food.
Catalpa restaurant will be open on the Boardwalk with its full menu of food and drink, the J Huston Tavern across Main Street will offer an easy array of warm fresh soups, including Ham & Beans, Chili, and Roast Beef Vegetable-along with a selection of sandwiches, as well as beer and wine.
All the Arrow Rock merchants and shops will be open, including the new Arrow Rock Coffee Company and the Arrow Rock 1829: Home shop, both in the historic Miller-Bradford House at 517 Main.
Entertainment is scheduled to be provided by Abalone Pearl, Blackjack Creek, Paul Fotsch, Lem Sheppard, Tanner Bechtel, and historic re-enactor Clint Winn. Arrow Rock Stock and Trading Company will be camped on the Huston Tavern lawn.
Arrow Rock’s historic buildings will also be open for visitors, including the Old Courthouse, Shelby Cabin, the Sites Gunsmith Shop-and the Missouri Press Association Print Shop Museum will be hosted by a team of print experts who are restoring and utilizing the historic presses there.
