Missouri Valley College will celebrate Homecoming 2022 from October 21 to October 23 on the MVC campus. The Homecoming theme is “Where Your Story Began.”
The weekend has a number of activities open to the community. Activities include men’s and women’s soccer games, food trucks, the annual Torch Run/Ed Leslie 5k run and one mile walk. Also included are a kids 50 and 100-yard dash, fireworks, homecoming parade, pregame tailgate for football and more.
“Where Your Story Began” is a play on the fact that everyone has a story to tell. This year’s theme is focused on those stories of countless Viking alumni,” said Amanda Linneman, director of alumni relations.
Three alumni will be recognized at the alumni banquet on Friday, October 21 in the Charles L. Bacon Conference Center. Outstanding Alumni Award recipients are Stephen Tuck of Marshall and Ellen Lance also of Marshall. The Outstanding Young Alumni Award recipient is Cortney Joliff-Mullins of Marshall.
The 2022 MVC Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees include the 1973 football team and coaching staff, Willard Ray Heath, James Booker, Dennis Rohr, Tim Cobb and Matt Cobb. The induction ceremony will take place Saturday, October 22 in the Malcolm Center.
