Gloria F. Sparks, 83, of Sedalia, MO, formerly of Marshall, MO, died Monday, October 24, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Open Door Baptist Church in Marshall, with Joseph DeGonia officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born October 19, 1939, in Slater, MO, she was the daughter of the late Clay Surber and Allie Schuster Surber. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. She loved to cook and sew, and loved her family and her cats.
Survivors include three children, Teresa Johnson of Sedalia, Arthur Waddle of Dexter, MO and Tabatha Boehmer (Randy) of Marshall; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Tony, Daniel, Jason, Joshua and Brannon; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Stanley Sparks, Gloria was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy Wartenbe and LaVonda Lynn Case; and 11 brothers and sisters.
