Carroll G. Brown, 82, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, October 24, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to family choice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born August 20, 1940, in Lenapah, OK, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Benton Pendergraft Sr. and Gettie Wilson Roberts Pendergraft.  Carroll was raised in Lenapah and was a graduate of Lenepah High School.  On September 25, 1964, she married James A. “Jim” Brown who survives of the home.  Carroll and Jim moved to Marshall in 1968 and she was a homemaker for her family.  Carroll and Jim were avid dancers and were members of the Boots and Slippers Square Dance Club, served as state presidents of the Missouri Federation of Square and Round Dancers, and Carroll even taught ballroom dancing.

In addition to her husband, Jim; she is survived by one son, Randell Len Brown of Marshall; a grandson who was raised in the home, Joshua Brown of Marshall; her grandson, Devyn James Brown of Marshall; a granddaughter-in-law, Stephanie Brown of Marshall; her great-granddaughter, Liliana Brown; as well as nieces and nephews.

Carroll was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Russell L. “Rusty” Brown; four sisters: Polly Hull, Bobbie Blue, Ninnie Yockey and Velma Yockey; and one brother, O.B. Pendergraft Jr.
