
Marilyn Maxine Ballenger Jenkins Henderson, 76, of Belgrade, MO, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to donor’s choice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born July 19, 1946, in Napton, MO, she was the daughter of the late Ora Ballenger and Gertrude Saylor Ballenger. Marilyn worked as a nurse’s aide in nursing homes, was a caregiver, had worked at Rose Acre Farms, all in addition to being a homemaker for her family. She lived in the Marshall area for many years and moved to Belgrade in 2021. She was a Christian.
Survivors include one son, Byron Mitchell Jenkins (Bethany) of Mineral Point, MO; one daughter, Michelle Smith (Clark) of rural Marshall; five grandchildren: Desiree Thompson, Clark Smith Jr. (Beth), Amanda Medina (Luis), Corey Smith and Byron Mitchell Jenkins Jr.; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Ballenger of Slater; one sister, Erma Jean Evans of Marshall; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Joshua Charles Smith; two sisters and eight brothers.
