Judith D. “Judy” Heimsoth, age 84, of Concordia, MO, died Saturday, October 29, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia with Pastor Michael Pottschmidt and Pastor Andrew Lehenbauer officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia.  Inurnment will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginvsville.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Concordia Senior Center.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born September 30, 1938, in Higginsville, MO, she was the daughter of the late Edward Henry Held and Ruth J. Landwehr Held.  Judy was raised in the Higginsville area and was a 1956 graduate of Higginsville High School.  On May 4, 1957, she married Harvey L. Heimsoth who preceded her in death on February 13, 2015.  Judy lived in Lafayette County her entire life and was a homemaker.  Judy not only cared for her husband and children, but she also helped anyone who was in need.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed going to the Concordia Senior Center.

Survivors include three sons: Timothy Drew “Tee” Heimsoth (Georgia), Darryl Wayne Heimsoth and Jody Zayne Heimsoth (Erica), all of Concordia; three daughters: Kimberly Jo Roepe (Ronald) of Concordia, Cheryl Lei Inman (Curt) of Concordia, and Carmen Renee Heimsoth Gieseke (Tom) of Westwood, KS; 12 grandchildren: Ryan Roepe (Jeanna), Kevin Roepe (Alexis), Lena Heimsoth, Alicia Heimsoth (Greg Kueck), Marla Harshman (Brandon), Jacob Heimsoth (McKenzie), Adam Inman (Rebecca), Eric Inman (April), Amanda Heimsoth, Craig Heimsoth (Jill Steffensen), Wade Heimsoth (Haley Overstreet), and Morgan Heimsoth; 16 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Shaun Lei Inman and Dakota Gerald Heimsoth; one brother, Glenn Held; and one sister, Mary Ann Mock.
