As part of Governor Parson’s Rural Roads Program, the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDot) has contracted with Capital Paving and Construction, LLC to resurface more than 148 lane miles in Carroll, Chariton, Howard, Monroe and Randolph counties.

Howard County asphalt work was scheduled to resume on Monday, October 31, 2022, on Route HH and Carroll County asphalt resurfacing could begin as early as Thursday, November 3, 2022.

Routes in Carroll County include:

-Carroll County Route B from U.S. Route 24/65 to Route 24/Route MM east of Carrollton.
-Carroll County Route MM from U.S. Route 24 east of Carrollton to the end of state maintenance.

Howard County routes currently under construction with asphalt, striping and/or edge rock remaining include:

-Howard County Route HH from Route E to the end of state maintenance.
-Howard County Route FF from Missouri Route 5 to the end of state maintenance.
-Howard County Route K from Route 87 to the end of state maintenance.

Weather permitting the contractor plans to complete two additional routes in Howard County by the end of 2022:

-Howard County Route O from Route A to Route H.
-Howard County Route BB from Route O to the end of state maintenance.

Chariton County has several projects scheduled to begin in 2023.

During construction, motorists will be directed through one-lane work zones by flaggers with a ten foot width restriction in place. Crews will be present during daylight hours Monday through Saturday. All work is weather permitting.
