The Slater City Council renewed its contract with Evergy during its meeting on Tuesday, November 1.

City Administrator Gene Griffith said the city renewed its current contract with Evergy, keeping the same rates with the company for the next four years.

Griffith said the city has had the same contract with Evergy since 2016.

The council reported that it might have to adjust rates for supplies the city will need in the future.
